It's a fact of society that so many educators are embarking on the "great falling away" of the instructional world: pursuing jobs outside of the classroom ahead of their time. The Edxit (or Edxodus? Sure, I'll coin that term...) is celebrated, mourned...and everything in between. In the meantime, as class sizes grow and budgets shrink, recruiters are out in full-force trying to bring in new (young) recruits. I have my opinions on how they could meet with more success (but the ideas aren't cheap, so the chances of funding are low), but no one asked me, right? *wink*
