Here's what I originally shared on LinkedIn:
Now look, Tony... don't give me no lip.
There's a fine line to walk with banter between #supervisors and #employees. If you're finding the banter becomes less-than-playful, or becomes your _whole relationship_, there's a problem that needs to be:
- acknowledged
- examined ("inspected")
- and addressed.
The problem might be larger than just two people (hint: it usually is). That doesn't mean the _situation_ and the _relationship_ can't be improved.
