Having another adult in the classroom totally shifts your own perspective, but it also hugely affects classroom dynamics. I don't know what sociological pixie-dust sprinkles around the room when another adult is a regular part of the class experience, but it's truly "magical." If you experience it and then lose it... oh man, you feel it.
