Mentorship is huge. Perhaps the most effective mentorships are developed organically - out of a sense that the would-be mentee needs some help.

As we learned in yesterday's #TeachedUpComics edition, Bob runs his own construction company on the side. But that's not what this is about... Bob, as a veteran #scienceteacher, has taken Mr. Culpepper under his wing as an unofficial #mentor.
Who are the novice, struggling folks around you in your profession? Do them and the industry a favor: mentor them! The problems of being an educator change, but your experience, proven resilience, and (let's be honest) _survival strategies_ could make all the difference.
I am _STILL_ buoyed up by words of wisdom, encouragement, and guidance that I've received from veteran educators over the years. My hope is that this #webcomic will be my way to do the same for educators everywhere.
When the student is ready, the teacher will appear.
